The project intervenes on a rustic cottage originally intended as a barn and a shelter for the cattle, which subsequently underwent some transformations on the first level in order to accommodate a house. The interventions mainly concern the first level as on the ground floor were made only structural consolidation works with the installation of steel columns and beams designed to strengthen the structure and support the loft within the space that once was destined to the storage of hay. The choice of inserting a loft which does not occupy the whole surface, where you can get in through a gallery, allows to fully exploit the double height of the building and at the same time allows a clear reading of what was the original structure of the building.
